2. General adaptation syndrome

The general adaptation syndrome is an idea developed by Hans Seyle about how the body responds to stress.  He said the the body first has an alarm reaction, followed by a resistance phase in which our ability to respond to the stress improves, followed by an exhaustion phase in which the stress overcomes our ability to respond.

3. Triplet code

A triplet code is a sequence of three nucleotide molecules in DNA or RNA that specifies a particular amino acid.
