The Kokosing Scenic River Association

The KSRA is dedicated to preserving the high quality of the Kokosing River watershed. Founded on Earth Day, 1995, the KSRA provided leadership in having the Kokosing River added to the State Scenic River Program on November 4, 1997. Heithaus was the founding president. The original founding of this group is credited to the efforts of Gambier resident, Douglas McLarnen.

Efforts to protect the Kokosing River include frequent meetings by a local Advisory Council, where potential problems or opportunities are discussed.  If you have concerns about the river, please contact Ray Heithaus.

If you are interested in watershed conservation, you might check out the Ohio Watershed Network.
