To help you orient, note the midventral line running toward the top of the screen. The latissimus dorsi has been reflected to the left making it easier to look into the armpit.

The pectoralis major has been reflected to show the insertion of the pectoralis minor along the pectoral ridge of the humerus. It inserts below and along the same line as the pectoralis major. The pin is inserted into the pectoral ridge of the humerus. Like the pectoralis major, the pectoralis minor also adducts and retracts the humerus.

Distal to the insertion of the pectoralis minor, you can see where a portion of the latissimus dorsi inserts by a thin strap of connective tissue. This muscle retracts the limb.
