About the Author

Whitney was born in Taos, New Mexico, but grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She began writing the Cy story in high school but was unable to complete it. This web version is a sketch of the old story, which originally began with Dek's parents' divorce. The original spends a long time detailing the brothers' training and missions. In the old version the Trumpets were fellow trainees who agreed to the experimental chip implants while Dek and Copper did not. Jasper was not originally a Sensor, just a senior Special agent. The Sensors replaced a different kind of agent called Cowboy agents. Whitney couldn't remember anything about Cowboy agents other than that Gator ended up as one, so she decided to replace it with the much cooler Sensor agents. Other notes: The author admits to being very proud of this web page. She spent a good 94 hours total drawing any artwork you see on the webpage (including the coded designs); writing the shortened version of the story; and learning to use the scanner, Photoshop Elements, and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Resources: The science on this webpage (excluding links) is not yet real. Someday in the future perhaps microchips in the brain will be realized, along with things like chest plating, and Hyperflex, but at present we seem to be content with remote control rats and monkeys. Information was gathered from the attatched links, as well as discussions with Professor Hewlet McFarlane of Kenyon's Psycology department. Other resources and information can be found on the most excellent Bio in Sci Fi Webpage. If you have any questions or comments about the webpage, please I-chip Whitney at Brattonw@kenyon.edu |
