Mr. Anderson: Worked for the US government as a CIA representative. He had two sons, Dexter and Copper Anderson before he mysteriously vanished on a top secret mission. His sons were taken care of by his brother, Samuel, a Marine commander. Dek and Copper hoped that by training as Cy agents they might be given a chance to find their missing father. Two years later they are closer than ever, but having heard no word of him, Copper, at least, has given up hope.

Mrs. Anderson: Was a fashion designer in Chicago. She and her husband divorced and she and her youngest son remained in the city. Diagnosed with breast cancer soon afterwards, she made her peace with her ex-husband before passing away.

Gator: Gator is one of Dek's friends and fellow trainees. He was the next youngest to the two brothers, and often pulled pranks with Copper that Cy otherwise frowned upon. After becoming and active Dipper agent, he vanishes from view until Jasper's squad makes a Trumpet sting and discover he had been abducted a month into active duty.

Jenny: Jenny is Dek's girlfriend, later in the story when he is stationed in New york. She doesn't see through his alias, but knows there is something about Dek that she is helping to ease. Dek met her during a mission where she was an innoscent bystander caught in crossfire.
