Suggestions to Consider:
- Use a reference site to better understand the system's intricacies.
- Use both degraded and undegraded reference sites for comparison
in determination of project success.
- Consider the use of "self-design."
- Make the project's goals well defined. Furthermore, define what constitutes project success.
- In-kind or out-of-kind restoration; on-site or off-site. Decisions of these sort must be made individually
for each restoration project.
- Project success is dependent upon long term survival.
- Measure both abiotic and biotic components of the wetland ecosystem.
