When the Virus first began it was seen as a plague upon the earth. But now so many years later hybridization is seen as the greatest gift the earth has ever received. The ancient Pures were so narrow minded that even at the height of their civilization humans were fighting wars and being killed over the most minute of differences. It was almost as if they were incapable of seeing how alike they were. If Pures treated other Pures this poorly just try to imagine how they treated the ancient plants and animals. From what we can tell the Pures barley treated plants and animals as if they were alive, the earth was in dismal condition. While a lot was lost during the Hybridization, it seems a great deal more was gained. Given what we know about ancient human nature it seems that nothing short of eradicating the categories they used to define themselves would end this narrow-mindedness. It was not until their brothers and sister looked like plants and the animals looked like their brothers and sister that humans could learn to live with and respect all life.
