WHALE WATCHING This footage was taken off the coast of Massachusetts on a whale watching tour in July, 2006. Marine Biologists work on these boats and inform the public of the different species they are seeing once out in the open ocean. We were surprised by how playful and friendly the whales were in that they were not afraid to approach the boat. We were lucky enough to see both adults and calves breaching repeatedly, a sight our guide told us is extremely rare. At one point we could see as many as a dozen spouts out on the horizon. The whale most heavily featured in our videos is named Colt, a favorite of the crew.
