To my dear citizens of Epicinea,
As the time draws near when I will succeed Drumajii Hender as the new Planetary Custodian, I wish to address you, my fellow inhabitants of this planet. Epicinea is a glorious planet, a source of pride to us all. But this planet is more than that. This planet gave us birth and when we die, our bodies will enrich the soil of the planet. Since the time of our forefathers, we have endeavored to live in perfect harmony with our planet, our parent. This is a noble task and one that requires constant vigilance. The threats to balance that our planet faces are constant, but together, we shall always manage to overcome them.
In the Epoch of Despair, around two thousand years ago, Epicineans had not learned the wisdom of harmony. We were at war with our planet and with ourselves. We lived beyond the resources of our parent and brought ourselves to the brink of extinction. We were saved when The Architect discovered the Acusa in the Deserta Primerta. The Acusa, the miraculous plant whose blossoms heal the mind, cleansing it of evil and giving such beautiful visions. The Founders determined that such power was too great for the average Epicinean and could only be safely wielded by someone who combined the wisdom of both genders, an intersex person, like myself. Now, we live in dialogue with our planet and there is peace.
It is the responsibility of every citizen to do everything in his or her power to ensure that this peace continues. Friends, we all have the power to keep Epicinea beautiful. Dwell in harmony,
