EBABU LOCHI PLANTS:
Snillis, noshis, and borillos are
plants that inhabit the Ebau Lochi of planet Nobu. Through evolution by
natural selection, each species has made various adaptations in order
to survive in the very cold, dark climate of the Ebabu Lochi. All of
the plants and aquatic animals in the Ebabu Lochi have developed a
bodily system of glowing (that is absorbed from the moonlight), which
is what makes the land animal consumers’ (darlingtons and bromulis)
bodies glow as well.
Bermu
Bermus are fat-leafed aquatic plants that grow underwater in the Ebabu Lochi. They
have adapted to the dark environment of the Ebabu Lochi by developing a bodily
system of glowing in the dark, by absorbing moonlight. Snillis (see below) grow on
the bermus plants and are released into the water once they are
mature and new snilli replace them. Snilli help absord moonlight, which the bermus
use in the process of photosynthesis to live and grow. Bermus have large leaves,
which help them absorb as much moonlight as possible. These plants are
consumed by both darlingtons, bromulis(see Ebabu Lochi Animals) as
well as nochi (see bellow).
Snillis
Snillis are tiny floating plants that fill the vast waters of the Ebabu Lochi. These star-shaped
plants grow on bermu plants (see above) and are then released into the water. Snillis have
adapted to the dark, cold environment of the Ebabu Lochi waters by developing a bodily
system of glowing in the dark, by absorbing moonlight. The vast amount of snillis
that occupy the waters gives the aquatic environment of planet Nobu a glowing
quality. Snillis absorb moonlight (see Planetary Environment), which they use to live
by photosynthesis after they are matureand released from the leaves of the
bermu plant. Snillis are the main source of food for linnis
(see Ebabu Lochi Animals).
Nochis
Nochis are microscopic plants (like plankton on earth) that live in the cold water of the
Ebabu Lochi. Nichi are pink jelly-like, photosynthetic (by moonlight) plants
that are consumed by snareens (see Ebabu Lochi Animals). Nochi are unable to swim,
but they travel by the movement of the currents. Nochis have adapted to the dark
environment of the Ebabu Lochi waters by developing a bodily system of glowing
in the dark, by absorbing moonlight. Nochi get nutrients from bermus plants.
Borillos
Borillos are land plants that live in the cold environment of the Ebabu Lochi and are consumed
by both darlingtons and bromulis. Borillos absorb moonlight from Nobu's two moons
(see Planetary Environment), which they use in photosynthesis to live and grow. They
have adapted to the dark environment of the Ebabu Lochi by developing a bodily system of
glowing in the dark, by absorbing moonlight. Borillos have a hard outter shell with large
pores that enable them to absorb large amounts of moonlight that they store for later
use in the process of photosynthesis. Inside their hard shell is a jelly-like fruit that is
rich in calcium and protein, making them a staple food source for the land animals
in the Ebabu Lochi (see Ebabu Lochi Animals).
