Means:

Text: mean alone is alright if the sample size and error are shown in a figure or table. If not give the mean (± error, n). In the methods indicate the type of error being used (either standard deviation or standard error of the mean).

Figure: mean (± error bar) Indicate in the caption the type of error bar used (either standard error of the mean or 95% confidence interval).

Table: mean ± error Indicate in the footnote the type of error used (either standard deviation, standard error of the mean or 95% confidence interval)

F-Test

Text: (Test Name, F =, p =)

Figure/Table: (Test Name, F = , dflarge =, dfsmall = , p = ) Place information in the caption/footnote. Back

t-Tests: One Sample t-Test, Paired t-Test, Two Sample t-Test

Text: (Test Name, t =, p =)

Figure/Table: (Test Name, t = , df =, p =) Place information in the caption/footnote. Back

Analysis of Variance: ANOVA, GLM
In both the text and figures/tables use subscripts on F and p to indicate source of value. For GLM report all F and p values if even one is significant.

Text: (Test Name, F = all values , p = all values)

Figure/Table: Test Name, F = all values, dffactor(s) =, dferror = , p = all values. Note for df give all except total. Place information in the caption/footnote.

Example: GLM fertilzation, spacing, interaction F = _,_,_,_; df=_,_,_,_; p=_,_,_,_.

Chi Square Test:

Text: (Test Name, X2 =, p =)

Figure/Table: (Test Name, X2 = , df =, p =) Place information in the caption/footnote. Back

Regression:

Text: (R2 =, ANOVA p = )

Figure/Table: (Equation, R2 =, ANOVA p =) Place information in the caption/footnote. Back
