| GroEL is a chaperone protein found in most organisms. This proteins is catigorized as a Heat shock proteins (HSP), GroEL being of about a 60 in molecular weight is catagorized as a HSP60. The main job of the protein is in helping the organism deal with outside stresses (especially heat) by playing a main role in folding proteins under those conditions of stress. |
